Man allegedly drives wrong way down HWY 62 in DUI-related pursuit

A man was arrested for failing to yield to sirens on Twentynine Palms Highway and is facing additional charges related to DUI. Early Monday morning (September 1) at around 2:45 a.m., an officer with the California Highway Patrol attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Zachary Bouckaert, 25, who was heading eastbound on Twentynine Palms Highway. BLM holding meeting in Morongo Valley over proposed tower tonight (9/5)

A community meeting will be held by the Bureau of Land Management today to discuss a proposed communications tower for the Morongo Valley area. A man in Twentynine Palms was arrested this weekend for investigation into domestic assault and throwing acid into a woman's face.  At approximately 4:45 p.m. on Friday (August 30), a woman dialed 911 to report that her daughter's boyfriend threw bleach into the daughter's face.
