Smoke from the Line Fire returned to the Morongo Basin over the weekend as the fire surged and a new evacuation order was issued for a mountain community. Hotter weather has made fighting the fire more difficult for state, county, and local fire crews. The Twentynine Palms High School Vietnamese Club is putting on a Mid Autumn Moon Festival today at the high school’s cafeteria this evening. The festival will feature Lion Dance performances and photo ops, arts and crafts, along with food, beverages, and a variety of lanterns for sale.
