Yucca Valley High School Wrestling hosts Shadow Hills for a Tuesday night duel

Yucca Valley Wrestling will host a duel against Shadow Hills High School tomorrow (November 12). The action starts at 5PM as the boys and girls teams kick off the first dual of the season.  The “Takedown Cafe” concession stand will be open with all kinds of treats, food and beverages.  Those with “Wrestler Adopter” shirts get in with pre-paid admission to say Thank You for your support.  Let’s pack these stands!

Caltrans continues work east of Twentynine Palms, expect delays

Expect road closures on Twentynine Palms Highway east of Twentynine Palms this week, as Caltrans conducts overlay work on the state highway. Lanes may be reduced to one lane at a time, with flagging operations and traffic escorts on Twentynine Palms Highway between Gopher Grove Rd and Gold Crown Rd.  Crews will work at various locations within the project zone, weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. this week.

Tri-Valley Little League open for early bird registration

Early Bird registration opens today for Tri-Valley Little League’s 2025 Spring Baseball and Softball Season. With coed teams for Morongo Basin residents ages 4 through 16, the season begins on February 10. But you can save ten dollars on your sign-up fees if you register before the end of the year. Enhanced DUI patrols through San Bernardino County tonight

“Impaired driving is preventable. It’s a choice.” That’s the message conveyed by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy R. Quiroz Falcon in a message announcing enhanced DUI patrols throughout the Morongo Basin tonight (November 8). A man on post-release community supervision was arrested in Twentynine Palms for investigation into battery leading to serious injury and preventing a witness from reporting the incident.
