AUDITIONS TONIGHT FOR “LITTLE MERMAID” AT THEATRE 29 TONIGHT

Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” auditions are tonight at Theater 29. Reporter Rebecca Havely has all the details…

Tonight Director Gary Daigneault and Musical Director Ed Will will cast the musical, “Disney’s,THE LITTLE MERMAID” at Theater 29 at 6 p.m. They are seeking singers for the roles of Ariel, the Little Mermaid and Ursula the Sea Witch. Male roles include Prince Eric, Grimsby Eric’s guardian, The Sea King Triton and his crab advisor Sebastian. Ariel’s fish friend Flounder and the seagull Scuttle, plus Flotsam and Jetsam Ursula’s eel lackeys. More males and females will be cast in the ensemble. Some ensemble roles for children 8 to 15 are also available. Rehearsals for “Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID” will start immediately after auditions and the musical will take the stage for five weekends beginning March 11 through April 9.

Bring to auditions a karaoke CD or digital professional backing track. You must choose a Broadway show tune, dress to move and be prepared for cold reading. Anyone seeking to assist in a technical capacity should also attend auditions. Theater 29 is located at 73637 Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms.
