AUDITIONS SET FOR 3RD “MIS-CAST” MUSICAL REVIEW SHOW AT THEATRE 29

Theatre 29 and Artistic Director Lisa Goldberg are excited to announce that the widely acclaimed Mis-Cast benefit cabaret is back after a two-year hiatus due to covid-19. The last time a Mis-Cast was performed, it was available for only two nights, due to popular demand we increased this from the first Mis-Cast which only had 1 performance. This year’s Mis-Cast will feature three performances on June 10th, 11th, and 12th. Friday and Saturday performances will be at 7pm with a Sunday matinee at 2:30pm. The first performance will be a gala on Friday, June 10th and will include food and opening night activities (such as silent and live auctions). All proceeds raised from Mis-Cast go towards Theatre 29’s building fund.

Auditions for the third installment of Mis-Cast will be held on Monday, June May 16th on Theatre 29’s Main Stage at 6:30pm. Goldberg is looking to cast talented individuals and groups of all ages to perform songs from shows and roles they would never be cast in due to age, gender, etc. If interested, please prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre, or movie musical song that is either a Mis-Cast you are interested in singing or shows off your range to be considered. Please bring an accompaniment backing track without vocals on the device of your choosing, speakers will be provided.  If you are interested in auditioning but unable to make auditions on May 16th, please send a taped audition to [email protected]
