Auditions for Theatre 29’s “Urinetown, the Musical,” the edgy new Broadway hit, are coming up. Actors as well as a back stage crew are needed for the production. Here’s entertainment reporter Rebecca Havely with all the opportunities…
Theater 29 Director Gary Daigneault and his team seek several performers for the cast of “Urinetown, the Musical,” as well as a back stage crew. They will cast 10 men and six women, from ages 20-65, with several male roles for men 50 and over. Open auditions are Monday, January 12, at 7 p.m. at Theater 29, 73637 Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms. Actors should dress comfortably for auditions and be ready to move. Bring a backup CD of a Broadway tune or a digital copy on your smart phone or MP3 device. Look up sides from the show posted on the Theatre’s website at theatre29.org. Those interested in helping backstage please attend auditions as well. “Urinetown, the Musical” will run five consecutive weekends from February 27 through March 28.
