Four women and three men will be cast in the comedy “A Bad Year for Tomatoes” at Theatre 29. Female roles include Myrna Marlowe a famous 40-something TV actress, who also plays a crazy sister that she’s invented to ward off her nosy neighbors. Cora Gump and Reba Harper are a pair of local gossips, and Willa Mae Wilcox is the local palm reader. Male roles include: Tom Lamont, Myrna’s agent who is quite fond of her; Piney, an unusual, very blunt local, and the small-town Sheriff. Come prepared to read from provided scripts. Auditions are set for 5 p.m. Sunday, November 18 at Theatre 29; located at 73637 Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms.
