Tonight’s the night for the next Theatre 29 auditions. The third production of the 2015 season will be cast this evening. Reporter Rebecca Havely has the cast break down…
Arrive at Theatre 29 tonight at 6:30 pm to audition for director Ben Bees. He is holding open auditions for the suspense thriller “Wait Until Dark.” He is looking to cast five to six male roles and two female roles. The male lead, Mike, is an ex-convict in his 20s to 30s. The lead female role is Susan; this character is blind and should be in her early to late 20s. Her husband Sam, a professional photographer, is also in his early to late 20s. Other male characters are a mix of ex-convicts and police officers and can be any age from 18 up. The key role of Gloria calls for a young actress as young as 10 but no older than 16. Scenes from the script will be available at auditions tonight March 2 at 6:30 p.m. Theatre 29 is located at 73637 Sullivan Road in 29 Palms.
“Wait Until Dark” will run five consecutive weekends from April 10 through May 9 on Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m., with 2:30 matinees on April 19 and May 3. Regular tickets are $12 for adults, seniors and military are $10, students with ID and children 12 and under are $8.
