Theater 29 announces open auditions for the smash hit broadway show, “The Addams Family Musical.” Reporter Rebecca Havely has all the details…
Veteran director Kathryn Ferguson is seeking the creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky for the ghoulish cast of “The Addams Family Musical.” Gomez Addams is a comedic role age 40-60. He’s a tenor-baritone; a proud family man of “Spanish” descent. Morticia should be 30 to 50, with a mezzo soprano to alto range. She’s attractive and leggy, with a sexy, dry, wit and strong dance skills. Uncle Fester is 30 to 50, a tenor or baritone, with a joyous, child-like energy. Wednesday is 18 to 25, an attractive soprano or mezzo with a strong pop belt. Pugsley is 16 to 20, charming and husky with a high tenor voice. Grandma’s age is 50-plus; she is fun and quirky with strong character vocals. Lurch the butler is a very tall man with a bass voice. Lucas Beineke is 18 to 25, a handsome pop tenor in love with Wednesday. His parents—Mal, a stuffy family man, and quirky Mom Alice—are in their 30s to 60s. The Ancestors are the singing, dancing chorus members. The show runs from October 2 through October 31.
