AUDITIONS FOR MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT COMING TO THEATRE 29

Theatre 29 is gearing up for what may the funniest musical ever. Managing Editor Tami Roleff says auditions have been set for “Monty Python’s Spamalot”…
Director Kathryn Ferguson and Theatre 29 have set auditions for the fall production of the musical, “Monty Python’s Spamalot.” This “silly-as-you-like-it” Broadway smash is a farcical re-telling of the legendary story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, and their quest for the Holy Grail. A cast of 17 actors is needed and actors must have a sense of comedic timing. Most roles require the ability to sing. Male roles range in age from 20s to 60s. Female roles are 20s to 30s. Auditions are set for Sunday, June 16 at 2:30 p.m. on the main stage of Theatre 29 in Twentynine Palms. The production will take the stage for five weeks, from August 23 through September 21. Actors should come to the audition prepared for a cold reading, and with a karaoke tape of Broadway music, and be dressed to move. Backstage help, such as set builders, or costume construction, should also attend the audition. For more information, email [email protected]
