Fourteen to twenty musical performers are sought for “Carrie, The Musical.” Auditions at Theatre 29 will be held Sunday, August 12 at 5 p.m. Female teen roles include Carrie, an outcast with telekinetic powers; Chris, the main bullying villain; brainy Frieda; gossipy Norma; nerdy Helen; and Sue, who narrates the story. Teen male roles include jocks Tommy and George; plus nerdy Stokes; bad boy Billy; and class clown Freddy. Adult roles include Carrie’s religious mother Margaret, and teachers Mr. Stephens and Miss Gardner. Bring a karaoke non-vocal backing track on CD or a mobile device of a Broadway show tune. Dress prepared to move, scripts will be provided for cold readings.
