AUDITIONS FOR A FILM WORKSHOP COULD LEAD TO A ROLE

The Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s Playhouse division will hold auditions December 4-5 for a feature film “Stranded,” conceived by Academy Award-nominated director Matthew Patrick. The Playhouse will produce a special workshopped performance of “Stranded” December 7, at 1 p.m. at the Yucca Valley Visual & Performing Arts Center (58325 Highway 62).  Actors selected as part of the workshopped performance will be considered for the feature film to be shot in 2020. Tickets to the workshopped performance are $7 available at JTArts.org. “Stranded” is the story of two super wealthy couples who rent a vacation rental home deep in the Mojave Desert, are attacked by strangers, and for the first time in their lives can’t buy their way out. Patrick has directed movies, movies for television, and short films. He has owned land in Joshua Tree since 1992, where most of the film will be shot. Prospective actors need to provide resumé, photo, and link to their reel if able. To schedule an audition or for more information, visit JTArts.org.
