AUDITIONS FOR 2019 SEASON OPENING COMEDY SET AT THEATRE 29

Theatre 29 will kick off the 2019 “Best Of” season with a comedy first produced at Theatre 29 in 2009. “A Bad Year for Tomatoes” tells the tale of a famed TV actress trying to escape Hollywood for a bit, to write a book and just grow tomatoes. With audition details here’s Rebecca Havely …
Director Char Childs will cast the following roles at Theatre 29 auditions: Famed TV actress Myrna Marlowe—who is approximately 40—she plays herself and a crazed sister she invents to ward off nosy neighbors; Tom Lamont, Myra’s agent who is quite fond of her; Cora Gump and Reba Harper, a pair of local gossips; Piney, a hick, very blunt and unusual; Willa Mae Wilcox is the local palm reader; and the Sheriff, a Sherlock-to-the-rescue type. Auditions will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, November 18. Theatre 29 is located at 73637 Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms.
