AUDITIONS AT THEATRE 29 TONIGHT FOR MUSICAL COMEDY

The hilarious musical-comedy “Don’t Hug Me, I’m Pregnant” will be cast tonight at Theater 29 by director Marty Neider and musical director Kathryn Ferguson. The musical features 17 original songs including, “If I Only Had a Boy,” “Bun in the Oven,” and “If Men Had Babies, We’d All Be Extinct.” They will cast three men and two women tonight, Monday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m. Roles include, Gunner and Clara Johnson, co-owners of a bar called the Bunyon in Bunyon, Minnesota. Clara is 8 1/2 months pregnant. Arved Gellelsen is a fast-talking karaoke salesman; Kanute Genderson is an oblivious business man, and Bernice Lundstom is a pretty, young ex-waitress with dreams of being on Broadway. Actors should be in their 20s to 40s, and all have—or are able to learn—a Minnesota accent. Theater 29 located at 73637 Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms.
“Don’t Hug Me, I’m Pregnant” will run from May 6 through June 4 with performances Friday and Saturdays at 7:00 pm.; 2:30 Sunday matinees are set for May 15, and 22. Tickets are available on line at theatre29.org or by calling the Theatre 29 Box Office at 760-361-4151.
