Audiences are raving about the fairytale musical “Into the Woods” at Theatre 29. Reporter Rebecca Havely says there’s still two weekends left to see the show…
The Broadway hit musical “Into the Woods” continues its run through May 21 at Theatre 29. A first-time audience member said, “Everyone did an amazing job: the techs, make up, costumes, the set, and actors. I laughed and cried.”
Reporter Rebecca Havely reviewed the production, saying “Stephen Sondheim’s complex music and witty lyrics shine in a truly ensemble piece of musical theatre.”
Another audience member said, “We really enjoyed the passion the cast showed. The whole experience was awesome and we cannot wait for the next production.”
The musical’s story interweaves the tales of a baker and his wife, Cinderella’s family, Rapunzel, Little Red Ridinghood and the wolf, Jack and his beanstalk plus a wicked witch and a giant.
The cast is sent into the woods to reverse a curse. Don’t miss your chance to see if this lot lives happily ever after.
Tickets for “Into the Woods” are $15 regular admission; $12 for seniors and military; and $8 for students with ID. “Into the Woods” has a more mature theme, so parental guidance is suggested for children under 12. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 and Sundays at 2:30 through May 21. For tickets visit theatre29.org or call the Theatre 29 Box Office at 760-361-4151.
