Assemblyman Wallis wants to help you navigate State agencies

On last week’s Up Close Show, host Gary Daigneault spoke with California State Assemblymember Greg Wallis, who represents state district 47, which includes the western portion of the Morongo Basin, the National Park, and parts of the low desert.

As part of their conversation, Assemblyman Wallis explained that part of the function of his office is to help constituents better interact with state agencies.

“We have a direct line with all these state agencies, and I actually thought the biggest issue was going to be the DMV.

“People having a problem with a state agency is the number one phone call we get. We can help our constituents navigate some of these overwhelming beauracracies.

“Overwhelmingly, in the last year we’ve been hearing about public safety.

“A big one we had during Covid, when I was running the district office for my predecessor, was EDD. We want to help people get their benefits.

“That is something we want to make your listeners aware of. You can call our district offic for help if you need it with a state agency. We’re happy to help.”
