AS HOT WEATHER CONTINUES, COOLING CENTERS AVAILABLE

As summer temperatures begin to climb into the 100s, Z107.7 reminds residents that there are designated cooling centers available at the Senior Center in downtown Twentynine Palms and at San Bernardino County Libraries in Twentynine Palms, Joshua Tree, and Yucca Valley. The Twentynine Palms Senior Center is open Monday through Friday 9 to 5 and is located at 6539 Adobe Road. While the senior center serves lunch at 11:30, food is not available at other times. In Joshua Tree, the community center is open 9 to 5 Monday through Friday. The Hi-Desert Medical Center cafeteria is available as a cooling center every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Yucca Valley Community Center is open noon to 5 Monday through Thursday. Note that pets are not allowed in many of the cooling centers.
