The Twentynine Palms Artists’ Guild has been chosen to design the 2020 Pioneer Days button. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Rediscovering our Pioneering Past.” Artwork should reflect any historical event, activity or person in the general Twentynine Palms area: Copper Mountain to Clark’s Pass, the southern boundary of Joshua Tree National Park to Amboy. The artwork will need to be capable of being reduced to fit a 2-inch round button. The artist submitting the selected design will receive a gift basket, public recognition and their signature will be on each button. Submissions must be digitally sent to 29artgallery@gmail.com by September 9.
