A multi-media exhibition of inspiring works by artists living and working in the high desert are featured in the current show at the 29 Palms Art Gallery. “The Soul of the Desert” features art by Alexander de Cadenet, David Greene, Jennifer Palmer-Lacy, James O’Keefe, Suzanne Ross, Elizabeth Folk, Sheilah Bailey, Tal Khaner, Caron Rand, and Ed Keesling. Also showing at the gallery is the exhibit “When Life Gives You Lemons,” by Catherine Barksdale and artwork by 29 Palms Artists’ Guild members. Join the artists for wine and refreshments at an opening reception on April 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. The gallery is free and open to the public on Thursdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. De Cadenet will lead a “Soul of the Desert” meditation session and discussion among the artworks at the gallery on Sunday, April 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $10 or $5 for gallery members.
