Artists are invited to bring their gourds to the Seventh Annual Gourd Festival, set for Saturday and Sunday, November 21 and 22, in Yucca Valley. Categories include Spirit of America, Spirit of the West, and Best in Theme: Holiday Magic. Artists may enter up to three categories with an entry fee of $5 each. Gourds may be brought to the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center Friday, November 20, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., or Saturday, from 7 to 9 a.m. Gourds will be on display throughout the show and the judges will select the category winners as well as Best of Show. Winners of Best in Show and People’s Choice will be announced at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 22. The gourd festival runs 9 to 4 on Saturday and 10 to 2 on Sunday.
