ART SHOW OPENING IN TWENTYNINE PALMS TOMORROW

An opening reception for the new art exhibit, “Into the Wild: Fortune Favors the Bold,” is set for Saturday, October 6, at the Twentynine Palms Visitors Center. The event is part of the Twentynine Palms Pioneer Days kick-off celebration. The art show features work created by desert artists in paintings, photography, mosaics, ceramics, assemblage, and metal sculpture. Light refreshments and live music will be provided in Bucklin Park, next to the visitors center. The free reception is from 2:30 to 4 p.m. and the public is invited to attend. The exhibition will be on display at the Twentynine Palms Visitor’s Center in downtown Twentynine Palms through December. The visitor center’s hours are 10 to 4 daily.
