Rainbow Stew in Yucca Valley will hold an artist’s reception for Jim Thompson of Pipe’s Canyon. The reception is set for 6 to 8 p.m. March 1.
He is a painter and actor who has lived in the Morongo Basin since 1980. Thompson, who has ridden a motorcycle to Peru and back, has worked as an actor and stuntman on numerous television shows, he will discuss his art and his life experiences. Rainbow Stew is located on the south side of Highway 62 in Old Town Yucca Valley.
