The Glass Outhouse Art Gallery will feature the works of two artists in an art reception today, Saturday, February 4, from 1 to 5 p.m. Chuck Caplinger will present “Beautiful Beasts and First Nation.” Artist Miri Hunter’s exhibition is entitled “First Expressions.” Caplinger is known for his oil paintings of desert wildlife and his award-winning desert landscapes. Hunter’s paintings are based on East African traditions called Zar, painted in the power colors of black, red and white. The reception will be held at the Glass Outhouse Art Gallery, 77575 Twentynine Palms Highway in Twentynine Palms.
