ART RECEPTION AT GLASS OUTHOUSE GALLERY THIS SATURDAY

The Glass Outhouse Art Gallery will feature the works of two artists in an art reception Saturday, February 4, from 1 to 5 p.m. Chuck Caplinger will present “Beautiful Beasts and First Nation.” Artist Miri Hunter’s exhibition is entitled “First Expressions.” Caplinger is known for his vibrant oil paintings of desert wildlife, his award-winning desert landscapes and his portraits are in collections around the world. Hunter’s paintings are based on East African traditions called Zar, painted in the power colors of black, red and white. Zar painting can be large enough to cover a person or small enough to wear as a necklace, traditionally used as talismans. The reception will be held at the Glass Outhouse Art Gallery, 77575 Twentynine Palms Highway in Twentynine Palms.
