The beauty of the California deserts will be celebrated Friday at an opening artist reception in Twentynine Palms. “In the Wilderness” is the theme of reception, hosted by the Twentynine Palms Visitor Center and Art Gallery from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday. The exhibition will be on display from October 1 through January 8. Gallery hours are 10 to 4 Monday through Friday, and 9 to 2 Saturday and Sunday.
