ART IN THE PARK

Don’t miss the 24th annual Arts Festival at Joshua Tree National Park. With all the details here’s Park Ranger, Pam Tripp… Spring is in the air and art is in the park at this year’s 24th annual Arts Festival at Joshua Tree National Park. The event runs April 1st – 3rd from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day on the patio overlooking the Oasis of Mara at the Oasis Visitor Center in Twentynine Palms. Thirty local and regional artists will be at the festival to show and sell their work, sharing their personal interpretation of the park and the desert southwest. Original works of painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, art glass, jewelry, and gourd art will be featured. The Joshua Tree National Park Association sponsors this free event. The association, a private nonprofit, operates retail sales outlets in the park’s three visitor centers to sell educational and park related items. Proceeds from sales provide support and assistance to the parks interpretive, educational and scientific programs. Come enjoy the art of those inspired by the park. For information about the park and the art festival, call 760 367-5525.
