The Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s Yucca Valley Visual & Performing Arts Center will present its eighth arts exhibition, “Awakening 2019,” opening with a special gala and public reception Saturday evening (November 9) from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibition features 14 artists from Australia to the US and the Hi-Desert of California in various mediums.The exhibition will focus on the mandala, a circular image of symbols. A ticketed mandala workshop will be held Sunday (November 10); reservations can be obtained at www.yvarts.org. The “Awakening 2019” exhibition will run until January 26. The Center is located at 58325 Highway 62 in Yucca Valley. It is open Thursday through Sunday from 1 to 6 pm, holidays excluded, and there is no admission fee. All artworks in the exhibition are available for sale.
