COPPER MOUNTAIN COLLEGE ART SHOW RECEPTION SATURDAY
The “Invention, Reinvention” art show, hosted by Copper Mountain College’s Art Program, will hold an artists’ reception tonight at the Ada Hatch Center from 6 to 9 p.m. “Invention, Reinvention” is a multi-disciplinary showcase of artworks by Morongo Basin residents and regional artists. CMC art students will be judging the submitted artworks for three Honorable Invention awards. The show will be on display Thursdays through Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. during the month of February, and all artworks are available for sale. The artists will be discussing their work February 19, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. It all takes place at the Ada Hatch Center, 6334 Rotary Way. JOSHUA TREE ART GALLERY OPEN LATE SATURDAY
The Joshua Tree Art Gallery will hold its opening reception for its new show on Saturday, February 14, during the Saturday night Art Crawl from 6 to 8 p.m. More than a dozen artists will be on display during the new show, which runs through March 7. The gallery is open Saturdays from 10 to 3, Sundays 12 to 3, and by appointment by calling 760-366-3636. JTAG is located on the south side of the highway in downtown Joshua Tree.
GALLERY 62 IN JOSHUA TREE OPEN LATE FOR SATURDAY ART CRAWL
Gallery 62, the Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council’s gallery in downtown Joshua Tree, will be open late Saturday, February 14, for an artists’ reception. Five artists will be featured at the gallery this month: paintings by Marcia Geiger, Lenne Rosen-Kabe and Susan Abbott; ceramics by Ed Keesling; and black and white photography by Bill Dahl. Gallery 62 is open Fridays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Valentine’s Day for the Second Saturday Art Crawl. Gallery 62 is located at 61871 Twentynine Palms Highway in the Sun Alley center.
