Tomorrow (Saturday, September 7), is the kickoff for the fall season of Art Cruise 29!, an art gallery crawl in Twentynine Palms on the first Saturday of the month. Featured on the Art Cruise 29! Are the 29 Palms Visitor Center and Art Gallery, with the final month of its show “Oh Those Summer Nights.”
The 7th annual Joshua Tree National Park Art Exposition will be featured at the 29 Palms Art Gallery.
Also open on Saturday is the Art-o-motive Gallery, on the corner of Highway 62 and National Park Drive. The gallery features the work of Sheliah Bailey, Duane Byrd, Stacy Byrd, and Elisabeth Pollnow.
The Glass Outhouse Art Gallery in Wonder Valley features the work of Joshua Tree artists Valerie Davis and Zara Kand in September.
The 29 Palms Creative Center and Gallery will host activities all day Saturday.
The 29 Palms Visitor Center and Art Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and features the final month of the exhibition, “Oh, Those Summer Nights,” hosted by the city’s Public Arts Advisory Committee. Maps and information about the city’s Oasis of Murals and other arts and culture events also are available. The visitor center is located at 73484 29 Palms Hwy at Desert Queen Avenue downtown.
The 29 Palms Art Gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and celebrates its fall season opening show, the 7th annual Joshua Tree National Park Art Exposition, featuring a juried exhibition of artwork by 57 artists. A reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on the gallery patio will also welcome local teachers that evening for a tour of the gallery, located at 74055 Cottonwood Drive at National Park Drive.
From 3 to 9 p.m., Artomotive Gallery on the corner of 29 Palms Hwy and National Park Drive will offer art and refreshments and socializing at the gallery, featuring the photography, metal art, and three-dimensional artwork by Sheliah Bailey, Duane Byrd, Stacy Byrd, and Elisabeth Pollnow.
The Glass Outhouse Art Gallery in Wonder Valley features the work of Joshua Tree artists Valerie Davis and Zara Kand in September. The gallery will host an opening reception from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7. The eclectic gallery is located approximately four miles east of downtown on 29 Palms Hwy at Thunder Road.
The 29 Palms Creative Center and Gallery will host activities all day Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Creative Center features canvas and pottery painting, instruction, and artwork by local artists at 6847 Adobe Road, four blocks south of the main intersection of Adobe and the highway downtown.
