The Twentynine Palms Artists’ Guild continues its art education program this spring with three exciting art classes in May for youth and adults. A Young Artists class for ages 6 to 17 features “Magic with Paper Pulp” on Saturday, May 17, from 9 to 11 a.m. Students will learn to make paper and create things with the paper for only $5 per person. Adult workshops in May begin with Acrylic Painting on Tuesday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. This class is $10 per person and students will explore perspectives of the world by using paint. Those attending the workshop are asked to bring acrylic paint supplies and canvas. There is an adult workshop of 3-D painting on Wednesday, May 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring matt black poster board, chalk or pastels. All of these classes take place at the Twentynine Palms Art Gallery, 74055 Cottonwood Drive in Twentynine Palms. For more information, or to sign up, call 760-367-7819.
