ARSON SUSPECTED IN MORONGO VALLEY CAR FIRE

Arson is suspected in a car fire in Morongo Valley early Saturday morning. According to a Sheriff’s report, a neighbor in the 4900 block of Visnaga Avenue was awakened about 1 a.m. when he heard a loud explosion outside his home. When he looked outside, he saw a vehicle on fire. Morongo Valley firefighters determined the fire started in the backseat of the pick-up truck, possibly with aerosol cans; more cans were located in the truck’s bed.
