A Yucca Valley man was arrested Saturday, accused of beating up his pregnant girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, Christopher Bavol, 24, was arguing about 4 p.m. Friday with his girlfriend, who is 7 ½ months pregnant. When the woman attempted to leave the house in the 56700 block of Sunnyslope Drive in Yucca Valley, Bavol allegedly threw her to the ground, sat on her stomach, shoved his fingers in her mouth when she tried to yell for help, and pulled her hair. The woman went to the hospital Saturday after she hadn’t felt her baby move following the assault, and deputies were called. Christopher Bavol was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Saturday, accused of punching his girlfriend after she objected to the way he spoke to her daughter. According to a Sheriff’s report, Corry Feldman, 30, made a crude remark to his girlfriend’s daughter about 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 6900 block of Roberts Avenue in Twentynine Palms. When the woman told him not to say things like that to her daughter, Feldman allegedly punched her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground. Corry Feldman was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
