While following leads for a burglary case, Sheriff deputies arrested two other men on unrelated charges. Shortly before midnight Wednesday, Sheriff deputies went to a home near Reche Road and Belfield Boulevard looking for a suspect in a home burglary in which about $200,000 in coins were stolen, and a person of interest in the Mojave Liquor and Market vandalism from last week. The report states residents in the home refused to cooperate with the deputies’ orders to come out of the house in Landers, and one resident, Timothy Rowden, 44, started struggling with Deputy Lett, breaking the deputy’s glasses in the struggle. Rowden was tased and then detained for resisting arrest and is being held without bail at the Morongo Basin Jail. Also arrested was Nathan Salazar, 20, on a $60,000 warrant for driving under the influence.
