A Twentynine Palms man has been arrested in the shooting death of another Twentynine Palms man Monday night. According to a Sheriff’s press release, deputies responded to a call of shots fired at an apartment in the 6300 block of Palm View Avenue at 9:43 p.m. When they arrived, they found the suspect, Raymond Burney, 51, at the scene, and the victim, who has still not been identified, dead from a gunshot wound to the upper chest. Raymond Burney was arrested for investigation of murder and is being held at West Valley Detention Center without bail.
