AN ARREST AFTER THREATENED MURDER AND VIOLENCE IN JOSHUA TREE

A Joshua Tree man was arrested Wednesday night after he threatened to kill two other men. According to a Sheriff’s report, Mark Epstein, 56, was arguing with an unidentified man in the 6200 block of East Parkway Boulevard in Joshua Tree shortly before 10 p.m. The report states that Epstein tackled the victim, sat on his chest, and then beat his face with his fists. About 11:30, Epstein went to the home of a victim’s relative, kicked the door, and threatened to kill the victim. Mark Epstein was arrested for investigation of making terrorist threats. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
