ARREST IN TWENTYNINE PALMS FOR FURNISHING ALCOHOL TO MINORS

Two Twentynine Palms residents were arrested Saturday for providing alcohol to minors. According to a Sheriff’s report, three teenage siblings went to a home in the 73600 block of Buena Vista Drive in Twentynine Palms about 9 p.m. Saturday. Two of the teens started drinking and playing beer pong with Juan Valderama, 18, and Jessica Acevedo, 22, while the third sibling tried to stop them. The teens went home about 11 p.m. where one of the them passed out. After one teen told the mother what happened, the mother took her child to Hi-Desert Medical Center. Blood tests showed that the teen had a blood alcohol content of .26. After an investigation, Juan Valderama and Jessica Acevedo were arrested on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and providing alcohol to a minor. They were cited and released.
