ARMED ROBBERY IN TWENTYNINE PALMS, SUSPECT SOUGHT

The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man suspected of an armed robbery in Twentynine Palms Tuesday afternoon. According to a Sheriff’s press release, a man with a black bandana over his face entered the Adobe Smoke Shop in the 6400 block of Adobe Road about 1:30 p.m. The suspect brandished a gun and demanded money. The clerk gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash, which the suspect put in a black bag, and then fled the store. The suspect is described as a black man, about 20 to 30 years old, 200 pounds, 5 feet 8 to 6 feet tall, and was wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and black jeans. Deputies who searched the area located evidence, but not the suspect.
