The Sheriff’s Department is investigating an armed home invasion robbery in Twentynine Palms. According to a Sheriff’s report, just after midnight Monday, residents in the 6000 block of Abronia Avenue called to report that four men and a woman entered their home while they were in bed. The residents told deputies the robbers beat the woman and held the man at gunpoint; a 1-year-old child was not injured. The woman thought she had a broken collar bone. Their home was ransacked. No other information is available from the Sheriff’s Department. Anyone with information should call 760-366-4175.

Sheriff’s officials confirm that the suspects and the victims knew each other and that the attack was not a random attack. The female victim told deputies that she had been assaulted for an hour, and the male victim was not injured. The victims were uncooperative with deputies; it is possible that attack was over drugs and money.
