ARGUMENT OVER STOLEN VEHICLE LEADS TO AN ASSAULT IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

An argument over a stolen vehicle led to an arrest of a Twentynine Palms man for assault. According to a Sheriff’s report, Daniel Deboard, 22, and a friend went to confront a neighbor in the 6700 block of Sage Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 10 a.m. Monday over the neighbor’s accusation that Deboard stole his vehicle. The argument soon escalated into punching and kicking, and then the victim said Deboard picked up a piece of asphalt and threw it, hitting the victim in the head, just behind his ear. Daniel Deboard was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon, and released on $50,000 bail.
