The United Methodist Church in Yucca Valley will present an Easter Cantata at 2 p.m. Saturday. Joanne Sayers will direct the Chancel Choir and Friends, and the Reverend David Humphrey will narrate the cantata. The Bel Canto Ringers, the church’s bell choir, under the direction of Janet Van Pelt, will perform two selections. Light refreshments will be served following the concert. An Easter morning sunrise service will be held at 6 a.m. Sunday, March 31, at Desert Christ Park amphitheater in Yucca Valley. The Evangelical Free Church will hold a pancake breakfast after the service in the church gym. A free-will offering will be taken. Joshua Tree Community United Methodist Church will provide a free community breakfast buffet Saturday morning from 9 to10 a.m. Used clothing, shoes, coats and blankets are free to those in need as supplies last. The community is invited. The church is located at 6213 East Parkway.
