ARCHAEOPALOOZA TOMORROW AT CMC CAMPUS

If you ever wondered how those who lived in the Stone Age made tools like knives and axes or how people foraged desert plants for food and medicine long before grocery stores, then you need to put “Archaeopalooza” on your calendar. Reporter Hilary Sloane tells us more…

Archaeopalooza, which coincides with National Archaeology Month, is a family-friendly day of demonstrations, films, and talks, presenting indigenous pottery making, stone-age tool making, foraging local desert plants for food and medicine, and games and activities for the kids. Archaeopalooza, sponsored by the Desert Institute, will be held on the Copper Mountain campus in the Bell Center (gymnasium and community lecture hall) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 2. In addition, there will be directional signs to the Bell Center. Admission is free, no reservations are required, and the parking is free.
