The Flying Doctors, who offer free care for the uninsured, underinsured and underserved, return to the Veterans of Foreign Wars post on Veterans Way in downtown Joshua Tree next weekend. There are still 40 appointments available for dental care, which includes cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
Services will be available on Saturday, March 27, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 28, from 8 to noon. Pre-registration is required by calling 760-366-2717. The VFW Post will be closed to the public that weekend.
The Flying Doctors still need at least one optometrist. Call 760-898-0535 to volunteer.
