APPLICATIONS TAKEN FOR YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COMMISSIONS

The Town of Yucca Valley is accepting volunteers to serve as commissioners on the Planning Commission and the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Commission. Applicants must be a resident within the Town’s jurisdiction. The Planning Commission meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month; the Parks and Rec Commission meets on the second Tuesday of each month.
The Planning Commission and the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Commission each consists of five members, appointed by the Town Council for typically, terms of four years. Members of the Planning Commission serve without compensation and must be a resident within the Town’s jurisdiction. The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month and acts in an advisory capacity to the Town Council or other appropriate agency in matters pertaining to land use and development within the Town of Yucca Valley. The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Commission meets on the second Tuesday of each month and acts in an advisory capacity in matters pertaining to the planning of public recreation and the development of open space, parks, playgrounds, playfields and recreational facilities. The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Commission also reviews programming related to community-wide leisure services, museum, events and special projects.
