Applications are now open for the the City of Twentynine Palms’ Youth Council. The leadership program 2025-2026 session is open to students entering grades 6 through 12 in the fall who are passionate about making a positive impact in their community.
The Youth Council is composed of 14 student members who serve as the voice of local youth, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to city initiatives. Members meet twice a month, collaborate with city leaders, organize community projects, and gain hands-on experience in leadership, civic engagement, and local government.
Youth Council meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at the Luckie Park Activity Center. Meetings are open to the public. The Youth Council most recently invented and organized the recent Twentynine Palms Youth Olympics event.
Applications are available online as well as in person at City Hall and the Parks and Recreation Office.
The deadline to apply is Monday, May 13, 2025, by 6:00 PM.
