The Twentynine Palms High School Swim Team traveled to Lions High School in Cathedral City last Thursday (April 7). The Wildcats split the win, the girls won the meet and the boys did an amazing job but came up short of the win. The Lady Cats won 6 events and the men won 3 events out of 8 races.
The following are the individual stats:
Lady Cats:
– Kate Bobadilla placed 1st in the 200 yard Free Style and 2nd in the 100 yard Breast Stroke.
– Staysia Jenkins took 2nd in the 100 yard Back Stroke and 3 rd in the 500 yard Free Style.
– Virginia Johnson placed 2nd in the 500 yard Free Style and 3 rd in the 100 yard Back Stroke.
– Nadia Moreno took 2nd in the 100 yard Free Style and 3 rd in the 200 yard Free Style.
– Madi Soster took 1 st in the 100 yard Breast Stroke and 2nd in the 50 yard Free Style.
– Patricia Zuniga placed 1 st in both of her individual races, she swam the 50 and 100 yard Free Style.
– First place finishes for both the 200 and 400 yard Free Style Relay team was: Kate Bobadilla, Nadia Moreno, Madi Soster and Patricia Zuniga.
Men Wildcats:
– George Bourikas placed 2nd in the 500 yard Free Style and 3 rd in the 50 yard Free Style.
– Aiden Sullivan took 2nd in both of his individual races, he swam the 50 and 100 yard Free Style.
– Daviahn Thrasher placed 1 st in both of his individual races, he swam 200 yard Free Style and 100 yard Back Stroke.
– Moses Williams took 3 rd place in both of his individual races, he swam the 100 yard Free Style and the 100 yard Breast Stroke.
– Our gentlemen placed 1 st in the 200 yard Free Relay and took 2nd in the 400 yard Free Relay team of: George Bourikas, Aiden Sullivan, Daviahn Thrasher and Moses Williams.
