When long-time Community Services District director Chuck Osborne did not file papers by August 7 to seek re-election to the board, the filing deadline was extended until Wednesday, August 12. A Morongo Valley resident took advantage of the extended deadline to file papers to run in the November 3 election. Johnny Tolbert and Matthew Mark Campos will be joined on the ballot by Jennifer Liebertz, who filed her papers with the county elections office on Wednesday. Tolbert is listed as an incumbent; Campos is a programs/development director, and Liebertz gives her occupation as a teacher. Linda Bailey had pulled papers but did not complete the process and will not be on the ballot for the November 3 election.
