Another climbing area in Joshua Tree National Park has been closed due to nesting raptors. The Park announced Thursday that the Towers of Uncertainty area, about 2 ½ miles south of Geology Tour Road, is closed to climbers due to nesting birds. The area will be closed until the birds abandon their nest; the closure is not expected to last beyond mid June. The Park has also closed several climbing routes near Hidden Valley Campground, and in the Indian Cove area.
