The Parade of Homes, currently scheduled for February 19, sees the owners of six noteworthy, unique, and dynamic houses situated in our beautiful desert landscape opened to visitors for self-guided tours. It is frequently the only time that residents and neighbors will be allowed inside of these private homes.
This year, one of the featured homes is Murphy’s Haasienda, the home of Mike and Karan Murphy in Joshua Tree. Built on two stunning acres, the home took twelve years to build and features mosaics and a one of a kind installation art piece made from recycled materials.
Ticket sales for the event benefit Reach Out Morongo Basin, which provides essential day-to-day services to senior citizens and disabled people across the high desert.
If you have a one-of-a-kind desert property, the organizers are still seeking one more house for the tour.
If you’d like to participate as a homeowner, contact Reach Out Morongo Basin at (760) 361-1410. For more information about tickets, visit www.reachout29.org
