The Animal Action League has announced that it will begin to re-open its low-cost spay-neuter clinic as of May 19. The clinic said in a statement that it will be trying to catch up on a long list of rescheduled dogs and cats, as well as a long waiting list. The clinic will only be operating its Joshua Tree clinic through at least June. Everyone who comes to the clinic—whether for spaying or neutering, or low-cost vaccinations or microchips—must stay in their vehicles, wear a mask, and wait for staff to come to come get your animal. Those who are there for vaccinations and microchips may have a wait time of an hour or more. The vaccination and microchip clinics will close at 1 p.m. Nail trims will not be available at this time. Regular hours of the spay-neuter clinics are 10 to 2 on May 19, 20, 22, 23, and May 26-29. For more information, call 760-491-6145.
