The San Bernardino Associated Governments (SANBAG) is offering a regional forum on Public Safety in the Morongo Basin on Thursday, October 3, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 at the Bell Center at Copper Mountain College. Featured speakers are San Bernardino Superior Court Presiding Judge Marsha Slough and San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon. During his appearance at the last Twentynine Palms City Council meeting, SANBAG Executive Director Ray Wolfe said that Judge Slough would be addressing court funding and cuts. He added that the Caltrans director would also be participating. A limited amount of tickets to this open-to-the-public event are available for $15 each. Lunch will be provided. The forum is part of a series of regional meetings being offered by SANBAG that highlight area-specific issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to “engage in focused dialogue” with the presenters, according to the forum announcement. For more information on how to participate in this event, interested parties can contact Mr. Joe Meer, Morongo Basin Transit Authority, at 760-366-2986.
